Positive Reviews

Old world character found throughout the property.

There's a quirky sense of years gone by at this bed and breakfast. Built in the 15th century, much of that original style has been incorporated with the modern amenities with stone and timber feature found throughout the rooms and common areas.

Fantastic restaurant onsite.

Every meal that is served at this guesthouse is well cooked and delicious, according to reviews. Whether it is the complimentary breakfast or something in the evening, dining at the onsite bistro is a must for guests.

Service is great in all areas.

The staff members at Cardynham House make a positive impression on every guest. Each are very friendly and polite and provide satisfying service throughout the accommodation.

Negative Reviews

Finding parking is a challenge.

Several guests have reported issues finding a place to put their vehicle. This isn't an issue for just the guesthouse, as the village is notoriously lacking in public parking; forcing some people to really explore the area to find a space.

Guesthouse suffers from a draft.

As an older house, Cardynham House is a bit drafty. As a result, rooms can often be cold no matter what people set the thermostats at.

Not much in the area for adventures.

Cardynham House is located in a quiet countryside village that is ideal for people wanting something a bit slower in pace. Younger and more active travellers might find the area too calm, however, and can get bored as there is little to do in the area.
