Hotel Macdonald Bear

The four star Macdonald Bear Hotel is housed in an ivy clad former coaching inn in the village of Woodstock, Oxfordshire. Local attractions include Blenheim Palace, Sir Winston Churchill’s grave site and the historic city of Oxford.
All the 54 en-suite guest rooms at the hotel are individually styled combining both the modern and the traditional with some rooms having exposed beams, fireplaces and four poster beds. Whatever room you choose standard features include televisions with satellite channels, bathrobes, irons and ironing boards, wireless internet access, work desks and tea and coffee making facilities. Adapted rooms for disabled guests are also available.
The hotel restaurant has been styled after a traditional country inn and has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for the quality of its food. It serves a seasonal menu of traditional British food with an innovative twist.
