Just a three minute walk from The Angel of Independence, Del Angel is a modern hotel that is also two kilometres from Chapultepec Castle. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi in all areas and air conditioning in the rooms.

The low key rooms with simple decor feature flat-screens with cable channels, work desks and en suite bathrooms. Some rooms have city views. Up to two children under 12 years old can stay free when using existing beds.

Amenities include a 24-hour front desk to help with transportation and tours, as well as a laundry service and meeting facilities.

There's Bar Sztuka restaurant with a la carte dining options, as well as a breakfast buffet and lunch menu. Various eateries are within walking distance.

Good Location

The hotel's location is ideal for those wanting to explore what Mexico City has to offer. It is walking distance from the Angel of Independence monument, as well as close to the castle and park. There is also a shopping centre and metro stops nearby.

Friendly Staff

Guests felt that the staff were nice to deal with during the check in process. They also felt that the staff were generally friendly and spoke good English. The bell boy helped with luggage and was friendly as well.

Negative Reviews

Poor Wi-Fi

The hotel advertises Wi-Fi throughout the property but guests found that this was not true. They were not able to use the Wi-Fi in the rooms and it was annoying that the signal was not strong.

Loud Noises

Guests were able to hear the noises coming from other rooms and the corridor, as well as the noise coming from the outside traffic and city. The walls and windows did not do much to keep the noise out.

Worn Out Rooms

Guests felt the hotel rooms were in need of a serious renovation. There is no air conditioning, mould and water leaks, as well as bad odours in the rooms. The windows could not be opened and the rooms did not leave a good impression to guests.
