Churchview Guest House is a family-run guest house set in an 18th century home, located five miles from Dorchester’s city centre.

Guest rooms boast cosy décor and historic features like beamed ceilings and exposed brick walls. Free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV with DVD player and tea/coffee facilities are standard.

Although this guest house does serve breakfast, there is no restaurant or bar on premises. Try Coach and Horses Pub down the road for pub grub and a full service bar. The Saxon Arms at Stratton, also nearby, offers British fare and a full service bar.

Small hotel means big service

Because Churchview Guest House is family-run, you get the kind of personal service you won't find in a big hotel. The staff is happy to do what they can to make your stay a pleasant one and can easily point you in the direction of restaurants, shopping and the most popular local attractions.

Pets are welcome

Pets are welcome here which is wonderful for those who like to travel with their favourite furry friends. It's especially nice because there are so many great places to walk close by.

This guest house is a 100% non-smoking property both inside and out which is great for those who don't imbibe and hate the thought of second-hand smoke and the residual odour it leaves behind.

The guest rooms are small

The guest rooms here are on the small side which could be problematic if you need extra room to manoeuvre or are travelling with more than one person.

The traffic noise is prevalent

The traffic running on the main road at the front of the property is consistently loud and the noise could definitely keep you awake at night. In order to get a good night's sleep, be sure to ask for a room at the rear of the hotel when you book.

The walls are thin

The walls and ceilings at Churchview Guest House are rather thin which means that you might experience bleed-through noise from the guests staying above you and next to you.
