Welcome to The White Hart Inn Margaretting Tye. We are located on St Peters way in the heart of the beautiful Essex countryside. We serve great pub food in warm and welcoming surroundings, if you want to relax and unwind look no further, we are the home of real ale & good food.
We aim to provide you with all of the information you may need about the pub, the food, the rooms and forthcoming events.

The White Hart now offers two extremely well presented double Bed and Breakfast rooms located above the pub with their own entrance door. The peaceful rooms provide fantastic views over the nearby countryside and benefits from its central location of three wedding venues, golf courses, and easy access to A12. Both rooms have been individually decorated with the décor creating a warm cosy atmosphere. They come equipped with a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, tea & coffee making facilities, iron & board and en-suite shower in room one & en-suite bathroom in room two. Breakfast is included within the price. We provide a full cooked breakfast, cereals, yogurts, and baked bread. If you prefer something different or have a special dietary requirement, please let us know and we would be happy to help.

We have just a made a few seasonal changes to the menu but don’t worry we still value our traditional good “pub grub/legendary dishes” such as Steak & Ale Pie, Pan Fried Calves Liver & Beer Battered Haddock & Chips.



Should you have any food allergies/dietary requirements please call ahead and our Chefs will be happy to discuss your needs and advise on the appropriate menu choices. We are able to adapt many of the dishes to suit gluten-free requirements. Please ask for our Gluten Free Menu. We also offer a daily specials menu which again reflects the season and revisits some old favourites.
