Steeped in history and old world charm.

The Manor dates back to the 12th and many of the interior rooms still retain the original period features. Guests complimented the decor of the communal rooms which feature exposed beams and open fires. If you appreciate historical buildings as opposed to

Tasty breakfasts with plenty of choice.

Guests appreciated the quality of the breakfasts at the hotel saying that the cooked dishes were very tasty and that there was plenty of choice on offer including cold meats and a variety of cereals. The restaurant caters for various dietary requirements

Attitude of staff highly praised.

The staff were described as helpful and courteous without being too intrusive and overbearing. They dealt with any problems quickly and effectively and often went the extra mile when it came to assisting guests and offering them useful information.

Uncomfortably warm rooms.

Guests who stayed at the hotel during the warmer months complained about the lack of air conditioning as they said their rooms felt very warm and stuffy. Many objected to not being given fans whilst others complained about not being able to open windows d

The showers have been described as very noisy and many guests objected to being able to hear the showers from the adjoining rooms as well as their own. The water cisterns were also said to be quite loud much to the annoyance of some guests.

The on-site bar was said to be very small with too few places to sit and enjoy drinks. Some were also critical of the decor and the overall ambiance stating that it could benefit from modernisation.
