The scenic Forest of Bowland is a little over twenty miles away and Manchester Airport is an hour’s drive. The immediate area is famous for its golfing links and Fairhaven Golf Club is an easy walk from the hotel.

Nothing is too much trouble and they take your queries in their stride. If, for example, you roll up unannounced, on your bike, they’ll store it for you, securely. No problem!

Only a few minutes stroll from the attractive town centre, you only have to step outside the hotel to enjoy the Windmill Museum and Lowther Gardens.

Who on earth told hoteliers that 2 twin beds are the same as one double? Clearly this isn’t the case and self re-arranging the room to suit your needs can lead to fits of giggles and some annoyance. Maybe some staff endure similarly annoying experiences,

It’s OK but portions are small, so breakfast doesn’t merit the cost. If opting for continental, there is very little variety so, again, it’s disappointing.
