Bus and rail transport links are also nearby for travel to and from Edinburgh. Guests appreciated the relatively quiet location of The Broughton in a typical residential street.

Although most guests enjoy their stay at The Broughton, a few wondered whether some parts of the interior would benefit from updating here and there. In particular, it seems that the bathrooms are perhaps a little outdated.
A few guests mentioned that they found it a challenge carrying luggage to their room. There are reports that the stairs are narrow and there isn't a lift since this is a traditional Edinburgh town house.
