The staff at the hotel is friendly and helpful. They were always cordial with the guests and assisted the guests in any service they required. Guests said that the staff was quick and efficient. Plus, they were well aware of the surrounding area and advised the guests about the places of interest nearby as well as modes of transport to reach there.

The hotel is located in the heart of Kingussie Highlands. Guests said that the hotel is centrally located and it is an ideal base to explore Cairngorms and Aviemore. The train station is also nearby, and other modes of transport are easily accessible too.

The hotel has a relaxed and quaint restaurant serving local cuisine. It offers breakfast as well as evening meals and the bar serves cocktails with palatable snacks. All the food is reasonably priced and the quality is also good.

All the guests said that the decor of the hotel is dated and in dire need of modernisation. The rooms wear a tired and shabby look, and some rooms also have some strange smell said the guests. The hotel is not worth the value because of its overall condition.

The en suite bathrooms are extremely small and with the wash basin being positioned strangely, there is hardly any place to move. Many rooms had just the bath tubs, showers and hairdryers were not present.

There is poor connectivity of TVs and Internet in the rooms. Guests said they were unable to watch TV in the room as the satellite TV barely received any signals. Moreover, some rooms didn't even have Wi-Fi and rest had negligible connectivity.
