Positive Reviews
positive:
Tempt your taste buds.
Food got great reviews from guests who enthusiastically ate at one of the many restaurants. Fresh cuisine was plentiful, and guests were taken with the Kenyan-Indian dishes at the Spice Route, as well as the Indian buffet breakfast. Guests also loved the 24-hour room service for bringing delicious menu items back to their private oasis.
positive:
Fantastic rooms.
Rooms boasted a serene vibe, and guests loved the upscale feel that made them truly relaxed. Superb architecture consisted of carved arches that lend an Arabic ambiance, and guests would return just for the sumptuous accommodation.
positive:
Everybody into the pool.
Guests couldn't get enough of the stunning swimming pool. Featuring a seven layer design, the cascading pool was fed by a mix of spring water and natural salts. A guest favourite, many had to tear themselves away from the standout views.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Service needs improvement.
Many guests commented on disappointing customer service at Swahili Beach. Staff were sometimes found to be impersonal and cold, while others simply forgot things like room service orders and room change requests.
negative:
Beach let down.
Depending on the time of year that guests visited, they were sometimes faced with a beach that was less than postcard perfect. Leaves and seaweed overshadowed the white sand, and some guests opted to stroll to a nearby beach of better quality.
negative:
Items not always restocked.
Guests noticed that toiletries and water weren't always replenished. Despite being promised water twice daily, some guests had no choice but to buy their own water, something they found unacceptable given the price they paid for a room, and that bottled water was a necessity.
