Resort Golden Tulip Candolim, Goa (Candolim, India)

While the hotel is a bit back from the beach, this did not seem to bother many guests. Most felt that it was a reasonably short walk away, so they could nip down there without it becoming some sort of expedition.

Guests really seemed to appreciate the pool a great deal. In fact, when not on the beach, it seems they spent most of their time on the terrace, soaking up some sunshine. Also, the pool itself was useful at the end of a long hot day as a quick way to cool down and refresh.

In a rare turn of events several guests mentioned that their actual room was so nice it looked better than those in the hotel's marketing materials. They felt that the décor was very smart and that the rooms were well equipped with all they really needed.

This was without any doubt what most irked guests about Golden Tulip Goa. Like many people now, they felt that connectivity was such a basic fact of life that W-Fi should have been included in the room-rate, especially at hotels like this one that place themselves a bit of  a cut-above.

It seems thee were a decent number of guests who mentioned small problems with various staff members. The impression one receives is that they are somewhat unprofessional, and have not been trained sufficiently for the tasks they are entrusted with.

While the food itself was said to be decent, quite a number of guests complained that the prices were out of sync with the standard in Goa.
