Several found the team knowledgeable about the area, while others appreciated the warm welcome extended to their pet. Compliments are also due to the chef; most guests find something to like in the wide-ranging Super Breakfast Buffet, and many also have high praise for the hotel restaurant.

Most guests find the rooms to be sparkling clean, with comfortable furnishings and neutral decor. Guests with rooms to the rear of the hotel had the best view of Old Town. The beds are generally described as very comfortable, and guests in the suites or Business Class rooms appreciate their extra touches, such as the bathrobes and Nespresso machine. Some also appreciate views of the harbour.

Corporate travellers appreciate the hotel's location in Helsinki's business district, and tourists note that the city centre is within a 15-minute walk, about 10 minutes on the tram, which stops just outside the hotel's front entrance. The Tallin ferries are also within a 15-minute walk.

Though most guests find their rooms to be clean and comfortable, many describe the furnishings as worn or dated, and an unfortunate smaller group discovered some room for improvement in the housekeeping services.

The Radisson Blu Seaside is not air-conditioned, and while a few guests found that opening the windows on hot summer nights did help with the temperature, a bit too much street noise came in with the fresh air.

Though most guests enjoy the Super Breakfast Buffet, others have noted that the dining area can get crowded and a bit too "chaotic" at prime times.
