positive:
Handy location near transport links and shopping
Shopaholics loved the proximity of Freeport Braintree for retail therapy, while the location also proved convenient for air and ferry passengers as it was a short drive or train ride from Stansted Airport plus Harwich for international ferries. Guests also liked the free parking and the way they could easily reach Braintree town centre and railway station by car. Many reviewers remarked that this hotel was fairly quiet despite being close to the A120 main road.

Reports of good customer service
Reviewers spoke highly of the customer service and had plenty of good things to say about the pleasant, helpful and professional members of staff who often went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure guests were comfortable. Diners often said the cooked-to-order full English breakfasts were delicious.
positive:
Comfy beds in well-cleaned rooms
Although the rooms reportedly weren't the height of luxury, guests often found them to be cleaned to a good standard and more than adequately spacious, well-equipped and comfortable for a shorter stay. The premium branded beds provided most guests with a restful night's sleep.

Some critics felt rooms had shortcomings

Mixed feelings about free Wi-Fi
Even though reviewers welcomed the provision of free Wi-Fi, there were occasional claims that the service was patchy or unreliable at times in some areas of the building.
negative:
Occasional noise complaints
Noise from neighbouring corridors and rooms was audible at times and reportedly proved to be an irritation for some light sleepers.
