Guests loved the panoramic views across the Wye Valley towards Wales. With so much unspoilt countryside all around, this establishment attracted quite a few visitors interested in walking and cycling or just good old peace and quiet. The location was most convenient for motorists due to the free on-site car parking and easy access to places like Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, the Wye Valley, Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains.

Most reviewers said the hotel was clean and comfortable with adequately spacious rooms. Many liked the rustic feel in the bar with its traditional log fire.
