The heart sinks as you approach the quite unattractive exterior. Once inside though, the welcome couldn't be warmer and everything is on the ‘up' from that point. Clean, with tile floors and comfortable beds; rooms are quite impressive.
What you see is what you get, here. If planning on return visits for business etc; then, without any prompting, they'll probably offer a discount. Excellent PR and offered quietly, personally ... and just for you.
The very attractive pool has a honey-pot appeal for kids and families feel genuinely welcome here. If you want to add to the family appeal, there's a fire-pit and grill to prepare meals outside. Priced very reasonably, this is a great short-break location and this ‘hotel' is masquerading as a motel! The marina is a two-minute drive away.
Most other aspects seem fine but they've overlooked the bathroom which is very dated. Views from the room are fairly bland, certainly no sign of the ‘Lake'.
Probably a faulty thermostat (?) but the heating unit is either far too hot or freezing cold; nothing in between.
It's re-assuring, in a way, to come across a leisurely and friendly check in. It is, though, bogged down with tiresome paperwork and is very long drawn out. Needs simplifying. Security concerns mean that the ‘motel' style outside entrances don't suit everyone. This is a nice spot though and any reservations on this point are often laid to rest.
