Morangie Hotel Tain (Tain, United Kingdom)

Compliments have been paid to the hotel’s wonderful location with the surrounding countryside simply breath-taking. There are many things to see and do nearby such as play golf at both the Tain and the Royal Dornoch golf courses, visit the many distilleries in the area including Glenmorangie only half a mile away, or visit Loch Ness which is just 45-minutes away. There is also a beach at Dornoch and Morrich Moor in close proximity.

The food is impressive with the breakfast in particular very tasty. There is a lot of choice available and everything is cooked very well.

The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable with plenty of storage available furthermore they are also very clean rooms. The style of the rooms and the hotel is very traditional and there is a warm and cosy ambience that they really help to make you feel at home.

The signage at the side of the road is quite poor and as such the hotel can be difficult to find so it might be advisable to use a sat-nav to help you find your way.

There are some areas of the hotel that are starting to look a bit tired in places. Some guests have reported that the carpets are looking worn and rather dirty, particularly on the stairs, and that some furnishings are looking quite tatty.

The superior rooms feature a Jacuzzi bath which is a really good idea to help you relax and unwind. However this can be quite noisy and it has been suggested that ear defenders should be supplied and worn when using this facility.
