Since most guests had checked-in in order to get a bit of sun and relaxation, it came as no surprise that the hotel’s extensive pool deck was their favorite feature. It seemed guests spent most of the day in that area, and described it as large and with a charming design meant to make the pools look like part of a tropical river.
Guests felt that the resort was situated in a convenient spot. They mentioned that it wasn’t too far to get into the center of town, where they had a great choice of bars, restaurants and other amenities. They definitely didn’t feel that they were stuck at a remote resort with nothing to do nearby.
Guests traveling with younger children were very happy with their stay. They felt that the resort was well set-up to cater to children, and that their kids especially enjoyed the children’s section of the pool area.
This was undoubtedly the most common complaint. Guests felt that both their rooms and the public areas of the hotel looked like they were from another era. They did not regard it as charmingly classical, but rather in need of a full makeover.
Guests had a few problems with parking at the resort. The main one was that it was a separate charge, something many were very unhappy about.
An extraordinary number of guests mentioned small issues with their rooms. The specific problems varied, ranging from missing TV remotes to malfunctioning phones, but the volume of complaints, and the fact that hotel staff were unable to fix many of the problems during a stay, point to issues with general maintenance.
