The Urban House and Retreat is located not far from the Brighton's sea front. In addition to the hotel, which has 28 rooms spread over five floors (there is no lift), the hotel's main attraction is a pampering spa which offers a variety of health and beauty treatments. The spa also has a sauna and steamroom. Guestrooms vary greatly in size and amenities. A single room has a single bed and either an en-suite shower or shower in the room. There is also a slightly larger room type only available for single occupancy. The top of the range room is the junior suite which has a freestanding bath tub with a large bay window and a view of the sea. Some suites also have larger shower rooms and 32 inch flatscreen televisions. All rooms do have flatscreen televisions and are non-smoking. The hotel offers drinks and dining at its bar/restaurant. An a la carte menu is available between 7 and 10 in the evening. Pets are not allowed at the hotel.
