About Ubad Retreat

Ubad means “medicine”, a word the worldwide known village Ubud's name is derived from. Located in the old Jukutpaku village, Singakerta, Ubud about 10 minutes' drive from Ubud Center or Monkey Forest, this retreat is aimed at bringing back Ubud’s past with its natural amenities, organic garden, and the Jukutpaku village ambiance where everyday life is an offering towards God, nature, and fellow human beings. Its nine rooms are comfortably designed overlooking the outdoor pool, completed with LED TV, air conditioner, spacious bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, coffee and tea making facilities, slippers, and beautifully arranged lighting. The restaurant and the reception are at the heart of this retreat. Placed next to the pool, they are designed in old style of Balinese building with alang-alang roof, water hyacinth (enceng gondok) chairs and tables, and bamboo facilities. It reach its best during the night when the lights come on.
