Hotel The Whaler's Inn (Mystic, USA)

Guests appreciated being a short walk away from the popular Bascule Bridge as well as numerous shops and galleries in downtown Mystic. Those who were keen to sample the local bars and cafes appreciated not having to get into their cars in order to reach the nearest amenities.

Many were pleased with the overall hygiene levels at the inn stating that the rooms were clean and the linens fresh. Many complimented the equally pleasant decor which included interesting artwork and quality pieces of furniture.  The bathrooms were also said to be well presented with up-to-date fixtures.

The staff were described as being efficient yet unobtrusive with many stating that they felt well looked after for the duration of their stay. The reception personnel dealt with guests’ queries and issues quickly and effectively and were also willing to assist them with various aspects of their travel plans which many greatly appreciated.

The continental buffet was described as being rather unimpressive with quite a few guests stating that they chose to have their breakfasts at some of the nearby cafes as there was only a limited amount of items available at the inn.

There are no lifts in any of the buildings which meant that guests whose rooms were on the higher floors had to climb several flights of stairs on a daily basis. Many found it tiring carrying their luggage to the rooms upon arrival.

The bathrooms were described as being rather tight and compact with guests stating that they had little room to move around and also not enough space for their toiletries.
