Very central for shops and attractions and if you tire of the hotel pools (*one is for children), the beach at Sanur is an easy 15 minute walk away. A real bonus is Hardy's, the supermarket, immediately next door. This makes self catering not just cost effective but something that can be done with ease and without encroaching on valuable holiday time.
Rooms are cleaned daily and thoroughly. Staff are very friendly and helpful and ensure that any queries are dealt with promptly.
An attractive focal point of the hotel; the pool is a convenient alternative to strolling to the beach, about 15 minutes away. Because of the surrounding high rise buildings, sunshine is a bit hit and miss; although, in this heat, many see this as an advantage and a relief from relentless sunshine.
Because it's set back off the beach a bit, it's in a residential area and residents keep pets, chickens ... and roosters! The nature of the beast is that they start crowing at 3am, so earplugs are needed. Also, the pool is too small for the numbers of hotel guests and hotel refreshments are expensive. Thank goodness for Hardy's Supermarket next door! Rooms are on the dark side and bed linen and towels are in short supply.
On the satay nights there is quite a lot of noise and this permeates through the rooms and disrupts any thoughts of a good night's sleep.
Sanur beach is a bit of a letdown and the problem is geographic. The other side of the island has nice sandy beaches; this side, it's mainly coral.
