This resort enjoy its own little spot in the countryside, bordered by terraced rice paddies and towering tropical palms. The area is very natural and picturesque which makes for great views from your room.

The customer service here is excellent and all the staff do their very best to help. Whether it's taking food and drink orders by the pool or cleaning up your room, everything is done politely and promptly.

Being in such a rural location this resort is home to roaming wildlife. If you are a bit squeamish when it comes to insects and lizards you might get a few frights here. Expect to see hopping crickets, scurrying lizards and a few other exotic creatures.

If staying connected to the internet is important to you then don't rely on the free Wi-Fi provided here. It's far from stable, often cutting off completely. When you are connected the speed is not particularly good either.

The Lokha Ubud is a good half hour walk from the centre of Ubud. There is a free shuttle service in the day, but for evening trips you will have to pay for a taxi.
