Hotel The 1661 Inn (Block Island, USA)

Some guests don't appreciate the historic hotel and complain that it's a bit pricey for a very old room. Furnishings are antique with an eclectic décor but some say the chairs are uncomfortable and the amenities are few. While some describe the resort as shabby chic, others say it's just shabby and overpriced.

Because the resort is made up of several different properties, room sizes can vary widely. Guests in the original hotel will find a traditional Victorian-style layout, with smaller rooms and long hallways and rooms on the upper floors may be a bit small.
