The fortress is from the early 17th century and was then called "Kråkeskärs Skans". It probably played an important part at the time of the Danish invasion 1611. Around 1700 a district-courthouse was constructed inside the fortress.The buildings you see today were built 1811, and while they originally served as a courthouse, they have since 1901 been a hotel. We will do our very best to make your stay comfortable and joyful. Hotel Skansen have 79 rooms - 24 double rooms in “Tingshuset” including 6 suites with Jacuzzi, and 55 rooms in the main building, where 36 of them are brand new.All rooms with satellite TV and telephone.
