About Scandic Laholmen

Stay in a landmark waterfront building with panoramic harbor views. Laholmen is a year-round hub of activity in the city of Strömstad. With its unbeatable waterfront location this classic hotel is a renowned meeting place with magnificent views of the harbor and the Koster Islands. Laholmen is located in the heart of Strömstad (which is located 16 km to Gothenburg and 14 km to Oslo) with walking distance to restaurants, stores, ferry terminals, bus- and railway stations. Laholmen has been recently rebuilt and renovated and has transformed to a new modern hotel with new exciting opportunities. The restaurant serves delicious food from the Swedish west coast changing according to season, based on ecological and locally cultivated commodities. The lobby bar serves fresh drinks, small dishes, live music from the piano bar every weekend and a wonderful sea view. Many of the hotel rooms have sea views and some have also a nice balconies. The hotel has good conference facilities with several meeting and seminar rooms of various sizes and offers different kinds of fun activities. And if you would like to take a nice boat trip the ferry to the wonderful Koster Islands departs right next to the hotel.
