This hotel offers charming and unique accommodations, with plenty of budget-friendly options. Overall, guests were very pleased with the rooms and the facilities. The common lounge area is pleasant to relax in, and having access to a shared refrigerator is very convenient. Though some bathrooms are shared, guests said there are plenty of them available and they are all clean.
Situated on the Soder Malarstrand, the hotel boasts a fantastic, city-central location. Most major sights and city hotspots are within walking distance. Old Town is only a ten-minute walk away and should not be missed. However, the hotel is also convenient to public transportation and the ferry.
Don't miss out on the breakfast. The breakfast buffet is self-serviced and casual. The selection is said to be pretty good, with high-quality and tasty items. It also includes Scandinavian items so it's an excellent chance to sample something new.
Guests have complained about some rooms being stuffy. This made the nights uncomfortable, as the windows don't always open.
Some of the rooms, especially the budget options, are very small. Even rooms suited for two people appear better suited for only one.
Soundproofing isn't the best throughout the hotel. Guests say it's pretty easy to hear your neighbours. Make sure to bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper. In addition, there are no curtains on the windows, and there's nothing to block out the morning light. It may be a good idea to bring a sleep mask along as well.
