Positive Reviews
positive:
A wonderful tranquil oasis away from the bustle.
Riad Dar Sara is just 15 minutes' walk from the busy souk at Jemaa El Fnaa square, but provides welcome respite from the crowds and really does feel like a peaceful oasis compared to the hustle and bustle around the corner.
positive:
The room rates are very affordable.
You get good value for money here, the rooms are fairly priced and staying in a traditional Moroccan riad is a great experience. Go for one of the rooms on the top floor if you can, you'll enjoy the views over the courtyard.
positive:
Great customer service from the staff.
The people who work here do an excellent job of running the place, welcoming you in and making sure you're comfortable. They are also happy to explain about the attractions to see in the area and recommend restaurants for evening dinner.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast is nothing to write home about.
Don't expect a large breakfast when you stay here, the portions are small and the selection of food is poor. Unless you have a small appetite you'll probably need to find a restaurant that offers a more substantial morning meal.
negative:
The rooms are poorly lit and can appear dingy.
While stylistic lighting can be a redeeming feature of a hotel, you might feel that this place is just poorly lighted. During the night it can feel dingy and it can be difficult to shave or apply makeup in the bathroom.
negative:
Not the easiest place to find by yourself.
Tucked away in a small backroad, Riad Dar Sara is hardly the sort of place you would easily spot on your first visit. You'll end up going round in circles if you try to search for this place yourself, so make life easy and take a taxi.
