Guests widely describe the rooms as very clean and comfortable, noting that many of the furnishings and decor were updated in 2015. Those who like to cook note that the kitchen cupboards are well stocked and all of the appliances are full-size.
positive:
Top marks for the staff...
The front desk staff have received many rave reviews for their friendly and professional customer service. Many have been pleased to report timely and effective responses to maintenance issues, as well as "above and beyond" gestures to accommodate dietary preferences or other needs.
positive:
Breakfast of champions...
The complimentary breakfast buffet has received many positive reviews; the DIY waffles are popular with kids of all ages, and there are a good variety of other options, both hot and cold. The complimentary midweek social hours are also well appreciated, particularly by guests who report that the "snacks" are hearty enough to count as dinner.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Stay safe...
Opinion is fairly divided on the question of the hotel's location; while some guests insist the area is safe, others advise their fellow travelers to stay off the streets at night, and describe the neighbourhood as "rough." Everyone seems to agree, however, that there are few restaurants or other attractions within walking distance, and it's best to drive anywhere you'd like to go, anyway.
negative:
Ear plugs are complimentary...
Guests in rooms facing the very nearby freeway often make use of the complimentary ear plugs on the night stand. Others use the plugs because they find the walls too thin, or the air conditioning is also noisy.
negative:
Squeezing in a workout...
While some fit travellers focus on the good selection of reasonably late model equipment, others note that the room itself is pretty small and uninspiring. Some have found the pool too cold, as well.
