A home away from home..
Most guests describe the rooms as very clean, modern, and well equipped, with all the appliances and utensils you might need in the kitchen. Though the rooms are not particularly spacious, most families and groups find the suite layout to provide enough space and privacy. The beds are comfortable, and the decor is tasteful. The complimentary breakfast, grocery shopping service, and free Wi-Fi are also well appreciated.
positive:
Friendly, welcoming staff..
Guests have given the front desk many rave reviews for their personable and professional customer service, commenting often on their smiling faces and friendly conversation. High marks also go to the bartenders in the rooftop terrace bar, which is a very popular spot for its view of Brookline Avenue and Fenway Park.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Mandatory valet parking..
Several guests were irritated to find that there is no alternative to valet parking on site, which is widely considered very pricey though in step with the going rate for parking in Boston.
negative:
Big fish, small pond..
Guests often comment that the pool is too small for adults to swim laps, though big enough for young children to play in. A few guests found their rooms, particularly the bathrooms, too small for comfort as well.
negative:
Pet unfriendly?
Several guests chose the hotel because it is pet friendly, but are disappointed to find the additional "sanitation fee" to be higher than the average.
