Guests appreciate the hotel's location, which is just far enough out of the city centre to allow for quieter nights, yet with the Nydalen Metro Station just across the street, guests can reach the centre in less than 10 minutes. Travellers interested in a more leisurely commute can step through the back entrance and onto a path which runs along the Aker River all the way to downtown. The BI Norwegian Business School, as well as many international corporate offices, are conveniently nearby for guests travelling on business.

Most guests are welcomed warmly and describe the staff as friendly, helpful, and professional. The Super Breakfast Buffet generally lives up to its name, with most guests praising the impressive variety of hot and cold options, including eggs cooked to order.

Most guests find the rooms to be sparkling clean, with comfortable, modern furnishings. Several enjoy the view and, with the windows open, the sounds of the Aker River. The beds are generally described as very comfortable, and guests in the Business Class Rooms appreciate their extra touches, such as the bathrobes and Nespresso machine.

A few guests found the complimentary Wi-Fi too slow or unreliable for their purposes.

Several guests wished the restaurant and bar were open on Sundays, and found themselves grateful for the nearby Peppe's Pizza, one of few restaurants in the area. Others were disappointed by empty minibars.

Several guests point out that the Standard rooms are not equipped with a coffee maker or kettle. Some are further disappointed to find only a wall-mounted soap dispenser in the bathroom, as opposed to a tray of various toiletries.
