Positive Reviews
positive:
Ideal location
The big selling point of these apartments is their ideal location. Guests can put up with a lot of minor inconveniences simply to access the lovely beach, harbour and restaurants. Although it is a fair walk from the town centre, this is considered a big plus for many guests as it is calmer, yet the centre is always in reach.
positive:
Beautiful views
Guests love sitting back and taking it easy on their balconies, simply absorbing the views and appreciating the sound of waves crashing beneath them. If you are lucky, your balcony will overlook the harbour and beaches and you can pass hours - in the day or night - admiring the surroundings.
positive:
Staff are very friendly
A lot of guests agree that the staff are very pleasant and friendly at the Punta del Rey.

That's extra, and that too...
Even if a stay appears great value for money, the extras at the Punta del Rey can add up. Guests don't mind paying a supplement for additional facilities, but a lot begrudge having to pay for things that they think should be included in the first place. Wi-Fi is extra (and pretty expensive) yet is still unreliable and even the TV remote has to be hired!
negative:
Basic apartments
Many guests feel the apartments are a bit basic and are poorly equipped. The kitchen, for example, is considered quite poor and guests claim it lacks many items such as wine glasses.
negative:
70s style
Many guests feel like they have been transported back forty years to the 1970s when they feast their eyes on the décor. The apartments are very dated - particularly the tiles in the bathroom. Whilst a lot of guests would recommend a refurbishment, others just get used to it and even grow to like it!
