Pita Maha Resort & Spa is nestled within the tropical Balinese jungle, surrounded by towering palms and terraced rice paddies. The whole resort has a natural feeling and features traditional Balinese architecture mixed with colonial features.
The staff here are a real treat, they welcome you in and make you feel at home from the moment you arrive and are always on hand to help no matter what you need. They can also help you to organise tours and activities.
This resort enjoys a great location, just outside of Ubud town so that it feels tranquil and secluded, but also close enough that heading into town doesn't take too long. You can walk to Ubud Palace in just under half an hour.
Considering this is a five star establishment you would think that more choices for your morning meal would be offered. Hopefully management can sort this out so that there is food to cater for all tastes.
Staying connected to the internet can cause a bit of bother here, as the free Wi-Fi can often drop out and the speed is pretty dismal most of the time. If you are having problems ask the staff for their help.
Once a grand luxury resort, Pita Maha Resort & Spa is now falling behind the times and really needs to be maintained properly. Some renovation work would go a long way and could bring this place back to its former glory.
