The location of the hotel is excellent. It is directly next to the beautiful Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace. It takes about two minutes to walk into to the park from your front door. It is only another two minutes on foot to get to the booming stores on Oxford Street. There is direct tube and bus access for visitors looking to get across the city.
Previous guests have been overjoyed with the hotel manager's gracious hospitality. The manager is genuinely interested in making the hotel's occupants feel as comfortable as possible and will accommodate all of your travel needs throughout the duration of your stay. Repotedly, the hotel manager is one of the reasons why so many guests continue to return to the property.
The Parkwood offers a full English breakfast each morning. Many guests were very pleased with the quality of food and service at breakfast. The full English is the perfect hearty start to prepare you for a day of sightseeing around the city.
A lift installation is not allowed in the hotel building. There is only a staircase. This may serve as an inconvenience for those traveling with large and heavy luggage.
Some guests noted that the hotel rooms are very small in size.
Several of the previous hotel guests complained about tired and old furnishing throughout the room and hotel interior decor. Some examples of this are unleveled and creaking floors, worn-out beds and thin walls.
