Very few guests fail to love the hotel's location right in the centre of the city, surrounded by restaurants and directly connected to the elegant Haagse Passage shopping arcade. Many guests enjoy exploring the city on foot or bicycle, noting that Mauritshuis Museum, Binnenhof, and Mesdag Panorama are all within easy reach. The Den Haag Centraal station is only a 15-minute walk, ideal for day trips to Delft, Amsterdam, or Leiden. The coast at Scheveningen is only 20 minutes away on the tram.

The reception staff consistently earn high marks for their friendly, efficient service, with many guests appreciating the time they take to answer questions, draw routes on maps, and recommend restaurants.

Guests generally describe the rooms as clean, comfortable, and quiet at night, with very simple, modern decor and all the expected four star amenities. Families and guests staying longer than a night or two appreciate that the minibars may be emptied and refilled with their own groceries.

Some of the rooms are fully interior, with windows on the shopping gallery instead of outdoors, which is not to everyone's taste. Some guests also find the rooms a little small, especially for a family of four.

Drivers generally find the spaces in the underground garage to be a bit narrow. The car lift is pretty neat, though.

Some rooms feature an unusually impractical bathroom layout, with the toilet and sink are in separate rooms and the shower essentially beside the bed. Some guests are also put off by the minimalist decor, and describe the rooms as "boring" or "cold."
