The guest house is run by a lovely family, who provide friendly service, free continental fare such as cereal and toast in the morning, or a hefty full English breakfast for the truly hungry.
Considering the money spent on a stay at The Mayville Guest House, guests were happy to find tidy, comfortable rooms and a warm welcome, both from the heating and the staff.
With reports from a few guests of old carpet, a little bit of mould and an uncomfortable bathroom layout for some, and a general need for updating, those who are very fussy about such things should look for another option.
