Positive Reviews
positive:
Excellent Value, Decent Location
Great bang for the buck here. This is a very affordable locale about fifteen minutes from the main downtown area, near a grocery store and plenty of restaurants, museums and shops. Close enough to walk to Old Quebec, although some may prefer to take a bus or cab; the nearest bus stop is just around the corner. Breakfast is usually the basic continental spread - fruit, juice, toast, cereal and some pretty good coffee.

No Frills Rooms
You'll get the basics here. An average bed, clean sheets, a functioning shower and all the standard amenities.

Pleasant Staff
The staff are friendly, welcoming and accommodating. They are very knowledgeable on the area attractions and helpful in providing all the information for your visit. If you need anything, don't hesitate to let them know. If they can make it happen, it's yours.

Noisy Nights
There's a fairly busy intersection nearby, so you'll hear traffic noise and loud passersby into the wee hours, especially on weekend nights. Bring your earplugs.
negative:
Weak Wi-Fi
The Wi-Fi works best downstairs in the common areas. Anywhere above or beyond that gets a weaker connection - or none at all sometimes.

Could Use a Refurb
The steps and floors are creaky, the paint is quite drab and the carpeting, towels and curtains have all definitely seen better days. Some of the plumbing is leaky, bedspreads could use a good cleaning and there are broken tiles and rust in the bathrooms. Feels a bit more like a hostel than a hotel, but remember the price before you complain too much - it's one of the cheapest rates in the area.
