The Macdonald Crutherland House is located close to East Kilbride to the south of Glasgow city centre. It is set in 37 acres of private grounds and the building itself dates from 1705, when it was built for the Lady Dowager of Torrance Castle. There are 75 rooms, ranging from Classic ones to Executive rooms. Rooms that have been adapted to suit the needs of guests with disabilities are available and there is also a Honeymoon Suite. Facilities at the Macdonald Crutherland House include a self contained conference centre that can hold up to 500 delegates, a 2 AA Rosette restaurant, a cocktail bar and lounge, and a fully equipped fitness centre with a 18 metre swimming pool, sauna and steam room. A wireless Internet connection is available throughout the property. The Macdonald Crutherland House is licensed to hold civil and ceremonies and there is a wedding marquee within the grounds.
