Located inside the historic stone walls of Old Quebec, Le Cavalier du Moulin is itself a historic property, and offers simple accommodation to those wanting to be in the heart of the action. The spacious rooms are simply decorated, but remarkably well equipped, including everything you’ll need for a great Quebec City break, from cable TV to refrigerators. Wi-Fi is free of charge and accessible throughout the property, including in the rooms. While there are no onsite dining facilities, the streets of Old Quebec are certainly not short of great restaurants and cafes. Restaurant La Buche is just across the road and serves delicious traditional Quebec cuisine. Being in the heat of Old Quebec, simply stepping out the door and walking reveals much of charm and interest. Those looking for more formal attractions will find the Citadel just 400 yards from Le Cavalier du Moulin and the Museum of Civilisation 800 yards away.
Of course this had to be what guests most appreciated about the hotel. It was described as in the heart of Old Quebec, not only in location, but in character and construction as well. Guests had come to an old city and were happy to be right in the midst of all the history and character that went along with it.
Guests had only good things to say about the owner, who was described as very welcoming and always ready to assist with local knowledge or recommendations. She seems to run a gift shop on the ground floor of the building, so was usually available when guests had a query or concern.
