Le Capase Resort Salento

Along the eastern coast of Salento, in the Regional Nature Reserve which extends from Otranto to Santa Maria di Leuca, one finds the 3-star Le Capase. The resort, completed only recently with the restoration of a property not in use since the nineteen-seventies, harmonises with the character of the landscape and respects the local building traditions. The project, conceived by the architect Carlo Chambry and inspired by the elegant manor farms in the surrounding area, called for the use of local materials and craftsmanship of ancient and renowned quality. These included Lecce, Soleto and Trani stone, dry-stone walls, floors in cement-paste and the capase of Cutrofiano, which mark the rhythm between sky and sea. The marble infinity pool, equipped with sun-shades and loungers, offers an enchanting view of the Strait of Otranto. In the morning a part of the solarium is dedicated to Yoga and meditation. The terrace of the restaurant is suspended over the sea, from where the view during the day is enchanting and imparts a feeling of absolute peace. The 16 rooms of the resort have a large terrace or patio and are provided with air-conditioning:classic, superior, prestige garden/sea view.
