Kaimai Country Lodge was built in 2011. It is a friendly 5 star boutique lodge owned and managed by Margie and Greg. It has 3 spacious, stylishly furnished super-king / twin rooms. Each has its own ensuite and private deck with outdoor setting. The lodge is situated in the Western Bay of Plenty in the foothills of the Kaimai Ranges. The lodge has spectacular views of the Bay of Plenty from the Coromandel Peninsula in the north, across to Mayor Island. Directly in front of the lodge is Tauranga Harbour and then to the south you see Mt Maunganui and the city of Tauranga. It is 2 hours' easy drive exactly from Auckland International Airport. It is 40 minutes' drive from Tauranga Airport. The lodge is a great place to base yourself for exploring the Central North Island of New Zealand. From here guests often take day trips to Rotorua, Coromandel Peninsula, Hamilton, Waihi and Waihi Beach, Waitomo Caves and Mt Maunganui and the very popular Hobbiton Movie Set is just an hour away.
