Positive Reviews
positive:
Great location very near the Eiffel Tower
Perhaps the second most common compliment, guests can't say enough about the convenient location just steps from the Eiffel Tower. As this is Paris, also mentioned is the large number of great dining options as soon as you step outside the door.
positive:
Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff
The most common compliment, the vast majority of guests mention how incredibly friendly, generous and helpful the staff are at every point in their visit. Mr Eber is specifically mentioned, with guests saying he gives excellent dining recommendations.
positive:
Rooms very well soundproofed
Not often mentioned, but still important, is that the street facing rooms are very well soundproofed. A few guests mention that once the windows are closed the street noise is not discernible at all.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Teeny tiny lift
There were very few negative comments made about the Eber Mars Hotel. One of the more consistent one's was that their lift is extremely small. While this is fairly typical in Parisian buildings of this style, and some did find it charming, most were frustrated and felt a bit claustrophobic when using the lift. This, and the fact that it was often out of order, meant they often used the stairs.
negative:
Small rooms and showers
While guests do realise that they are in central Paris, where small rooms really are the norm, some did comment that they wished their rooms had been bigger. Many feel like it's best just to treat the rooms as a place to sleep and bathe, spending most of the time exploring the city.
negative:
Wi-Fi maybe a bit spotty
Not a very common complaint, but it seems the Wi-Fi may experience the odd period of unreliability. It's perhaps best to activate roaming if you have an urgent need to stay connected.
