On the site of a former 16th-century monastery Hacienda Cocoyoc is surrounded by tropical gardens and boasts fountains, pathways and even a chapel. The hotel, catering for conferences up to 1200 people, includes a spa and many leisure facilities. There are 284 rooms and suites in total, designed in a typical Mexican colonial style. Some of the luxury units feature their own private pools. Hacienda Cocoyoc hosts three communal swimming pools, as well as a nine-hole golf course, tennis courts, a gym and some horses. The complex also incorporates no less than 20 events rooms. Guests are spoilt for choice for places to dine, with four different settings available: La Chispa, Talavera, Arcos and Mangos. They can also enjoy refreshments in one of three on-site bars. The hotel is just over two kilometres from the Six Flags Hurricane Harbor water park, and roughly 15 minutes' drive from Club Campestre Lomas de Cocoyoc golf course.
