This distinctive atmosphere, combined with the owner's exceptional personal touch, creates a warm and inviting environment. Sightseers and food enthusiasts will also find the property particularly appealing, drawn by its unique charm and highly praised culinary offerings. Guests consistently highlight the hotel's overall ambiance, its beautiful rooms, and the pleasant staff who contribute significantly to the positive experience. To fully appreciate the property's charm, guests are advised to explore the gardens and embrace the tranquil, immersive atmosphere.

Cleanliness & Room Comfort
Guests generally find the rooms to be aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained, often described as beautifully renovated and cozy. However, a recurring concern for some guests is the room temperature, with several reports of cold rooms upon arrival, particularly in the bathrooms, and a slow heating process. While many guests praise the comfortable beds for ensuring a restful night's sleep, a few isolated comments mention issues such as a low ceiling in one shower or a clogged drain, which slightly impacted the convenience. Noise levels are generally low, contributing to a peaceful stay, though a couple of reviewers noted significant cleaning noise in the mornings from other areas, which could be disruptive. Despite these minor points, the overall sentiment regarding room comfort and cleanliness remains largely positive, with the unique decor and serene ambiance often outweighing any small inconveniences.

Dining & Food Quality
The hotel's dining experience, particularly the multi-course dinners, receives widespread acclaim from guests, often described as fantastic, delicious, and heavenly. Many reviewers highlight the exceptional quality and presentation of the evening meals, with some even comparing the culinary standard to Michelin-starred establishments. The wine pairings are also frequently praised for complementing the dishes perfectly. However, feedback on specific dinner items is occasionally mixed, with some guests noting issues such as tough meat, bland ceviche, or dishes that seemed reheated. While the dinner service is generally excellent, a few guests experienced long waiting times between courses. In contrast, the breakfast experience garners more varied, often negative, feedback. Many guests found the selection limited, particularly lacking hot options like eggs, and noted issues with replenishment of items, dry bread, and the quality of juice. Some also reported slow service during breakfast, leading to frustration.

Location & Accessibility
Situated in a remote location, the hotel is often described as being "off the beaten track," yet guests consistently agree that it is absolutely worth the detour for its unique charm and tranquility. The journey to the property, which often involves a ferry crossing, is considered by many to be an enjoyable and scenic part of the overall experience, with well-maintained roads on the island. The hotel's surroundings offer abundant opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts, with numerous hiking opportunities available right outside the door, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area. This secluded setting provides a peaceful escape from daily life, making it an ideal choice for those seeking quiet relaxation and a connection with nature. While its isolated nature means it's not easily accessible to major urban centers, this is precisely what many guests appreciate about its unique appeal.

Staff & Service
The staff at the hotel consistently receive high praise for their friendliness, welcoming demeanor, and attentive service, contributing significantly to a positive guest experience. Many reviewers highlight the super service provided, noting that staff are often cheerful, service-minded, and generous, even when minor issues arise. The owner, or "host," is frequently singled out for his exceptional personal touch, often entertaining guests with singing and engaging stories, and going above and beyond to make stays memorable, such as assisting with personal requests or celebrating special occasions. However, feedback on service is not uniformly positive. Some guests reported instances of inexperienced staff, particularly in the restaurant, and noted language barriers that led to misunderstandings. There were also complaints about long waiting times for service, especially during breakfast or check-in, and a perceived lack of information upon arrival.

Additional Information
A truly distinctive aspect of the guest experience is the unique entertainment provided by the host, who frequently delights visitors with his singing and engaging storytelling. This personal touch extends to special occasions, where the host has been known to create unforgettable moments, such as champagne sabering and singing in the chapel for celebrations. These impromptu performances and personalized interactions are consistently highlighted as a significant highlight, adding a layer of warmth and charm that goes beyond standard hospitality. Guests appreciate these memorable touches, which contribute to the hotel's overall enchanting atmosphere and make each stay feel exceptionally special and unique. This personal engagement from the host is a defining feature that sets the hotel apart, fostering a sense of being personally welcomed into a cherished home rather than just a hotel.
