The pool area is very clean and has a good size. There are many sun loungers so guests always had good spots and felt extremely comfortable. The hotel also had a great policy, which let the guests stay by the pool even after they officially checked out. A lot of guests found this very handy.
Golden Star is set on beautifully landscaped, well kept, and lovely grounds. The close proximity of the sea from the hotel also enabled the guests to enjoy spectacular views. Moreover, the place is peaceful so many guests loved the quality of their sleep.
A lot of budget travelers have been so satisfied with this hotel. Most of them did not look for luxury given the affordable rates, but they still got it. They definitely got more than what they paid for. Many guests said that they would definitely come back even if they're on a budget.
There were times when the employees at the front desk did not smile. Some of them did not have the initiative of giving vital information, and guests had to ask for themselves. However, the management sincerely apologized in behalf of them.
Some guests deemed the breakfast ordinary for their taste. The food was cooked properly, but the taste was not exciting their taste buds. However, you can have better breakfasts at the town centre with the same price if you want.
The bathrooms sometimes smell like mildew. A few guests have experienced having odors which smelled like rotten food. However, the staff was efficient in spraying air fresheners and opening the windows to get rid of the smell.
