positive:
Perfect for sightseeing.
This hotel was easy to get to off the highway, and provided a convenient route to nearby points of interest like Letterkenny Army Depot, or schools such as Shippensburg University or Penn State Mont Alto. The Michaux State Forest is a nice stop on the way to Gettysburg, about 40 minutes away.
positive:
Friendly faces.
Staff at this hotel were generally friendly, and guests didn't seem to have any problems interacting with them. They were also quick to correct issues that arose.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Housekeeping not a highlight.
The quality that guests had come to expect from this hotel chain fell short at this particular location. Guests listed a myriad of problems with their rooms, many of which had to do with cleanliness. It seemed that housekeeping needed to run a tighter ship to really make this hotel shine.
negative:
Tired rooms.
Guests were unenthusiastic about older rooms that were in need of repair. Broken curtains and closet doors, water stains on the ceiling, chipping paint, and worn out carpets were a few of the things that guests thought needed improvement.
negative:
No elevator.
If you are one of the many people who over pack for a trip, you might want to request a ground floor room at this hotel. Some guests found out the hard way that there wasn't an elevator, and were left to haul their luggage upstairs.
