The hotel has a perfect location with the harbor and marina just outside the doorstep, and the beaches just walking distance away. Downtown Dana Point and Dana Point Harbor shopping and restaurants are all walking distance from the hotel. Parking is always free and plentiful, which is hard to find on the OC coastline.
Much like the rest of the Dana Point Harbor, the hotel has plenty of history and age to show for it. A lot of the hotel has begun to look outdated and is in need of remodeling. Some guests commented on the musty smell in the rooms and said that the furniture could definitely be replaced. Many guests, however, have found their stay to be wonderful with no complains.
