Hotel Conca D'Oro (Positano, Italy)

This picturesque hilltop hotel is located just seven minutes away from the beach on the Amalfi Coast. Just eight miles from the Grotta dello Smeraldo cave and another one mile from the Piazza Tasso in Sorrento, the Hotel Conca d´Oro offers breathtaking views of the Amalfi coast.

It's hard to visit this area and not indulge in some of the finest Mediterranean cuisine from fresh seafood to pasta served with candlelight on the hotel's terrace that overlooks the sea. There's also cocktails and drinks with loungers available on the sunny terrace from midday onwards.

The hotel has a gorgeous rooftop sundeck equipped with a large hot tub. You can relax in there and enjoy uninterrupted, panoramic views of the Amalfi coastline after exploring the grotto cave and town of Positano during the day.

Parking is an additional fee. Positano itself has hardly any parking during the day and coming to and leaving the town is along one road only. When you arrive in town by car, you will have to look around and be patient to get a spot and be willing to walk a bit to get to your destination.

The breakfast is served buffet style and could be improved. It's cold foods. It is however free and included with your hotel stay. It would be nice to have a hot breakfast and warm drinks.

The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished with beautiful views of the sea, but the bedding could be improved and modernized to be more comfortable.
