Hotel Comwell Aarhus Dolce by Wyndham (Aarhus, Denmark)

On 22 December 2011, work began on a brand new business development centre in Aarhus situated in the central workshop area between Bruuns Galleri and the Spanien baths complex. While the first 12 floors will house the new Comwell conference hotel, the top 9 floors will be home to the accountancy firm Deloitte and the law firm Bech-Bruun. Back in 1969, Comwell, then known as Scanticon, opened the first hotel in Aarhus in the scenic surroundings of Skaade Bakker hills. The hotel was operated as a course and conference centre for 23 years until 1992, when Comwell entrusted the hotel to another operator. Comwell has now finally returned to Aarhus, this time with a conference hotel situated in midtown Aarhus, close to public transport, the city’s exciting cultural attractions, cosy shops and coffee bar scene. With the vision of creating a true designer hotel, Comwell Aarhus entered into a groundbreaking partnership with the Danish design house, Hay. The internationally renowned furniture and interior design manufacturer has specially designed everything from the carpets to the wallpaper for Comwell Aarhus, just as Hay’s well-known designer furniture is featured throughout the hotel. The end result is a unique, superb designer interior that is unparalleled in Denmark.
