Hotel Canali (Rapallo, Italy)

The guests truly appreciated that the hotel offered them free parking. To have this complimentary amenity in Italy and a tourist area was a good thing, and one less worry for guests who traveled here with a vehicle.

Most guests were happy with the reception and service people and felt a true sense of friendliness and warmth that is key to customer satisfaction. They are multi-lingual, accommodated to guest's needs and helped them with recommendations for travel.

The hotel's style was found to be charming by some guests who felt at home and at ease because of the old and classic furnishings. There was no pretentiousness about the place and it was more of a comfortable feeling. It was an art deco style.

If there were noisy guests next door, the thin walls did not do much to isolate the noise level. In between the rooms, the noises could be heard quite obviously which annoyed some guests.

Some guests did not enjoy being a bit away from the centre of town, especially since walking would mean steep hills. For some, it was too tiring to be doing this to head to town and they would have liked a more central location.

The hotel advertises it has rooms with ocean views, but those guests who paid extra to see the ocean from a balcony were disappointed to find that only a sliver of water could be seen. They recommend the extra price is not worth it.
