Many of the guest rooms at Annfield House afford lovely views of the Isle of Arran. The best views can be had from the rear of the property.

All of the guest rooms and public spaces are clean and cosy, giving you that home away from home feeling that you would hope for in a boutique establishment such as this. The comfortable beds, made up with soft linens, make your sleeping experience a real dream.

This hotel is set among gardens and overlooking the River irvine which gives you the feeling of being out in the country. The good news is that you are only a five minute walk from Irvine where you'll find lots of restaurants and shops as well as many of the area's most popular attractions.

The rooms on the top floor, which was once the attic, are thin which makes it easy to hear noise from other guests in the building.

Annfield House does not have a lift which could be problematic if you have mobility issues, are travelling with small children or if you have a lot of luggage in tow. This is especially true when you are assigned a room on the top floor where the stairs are rather steep.

You may have trouble with the water temperatures in the shower and tap as they are either scalding hot or freezing cold, and the hot water takes a long time to come on.
